I'm 8 months old today!!!

Hi friends!!

Today's a BIG day--I'm 8 months old! To celebrate, I had a girls lunch with Mommy and Auntie Angie and I got my own meal at the Yardhouse (zucchini and carrots). Then we shopped and I got a new swimsuit and some shorts and a couple of tops. Then I took a nap and went home and played with Mommy and Daddy. It was a really fun day!

Yesterday was a BIG day too! I went to my first church service for my cousin Chloe's first communion and it was her 9th birthday too. She is a big girl and I want to be just like her. She's pretty and smart and great at tennis! I hope she'll want to babysit me when she's older.

I'm such a big girl now. I stand all the time, talk like crazy (especially saying dada, my new favorite word), eat like crazy...all day, every day, have 6 teeth (4 top and two bottom) and am the fastest crawler around! And, I'm starting to stand on my own and can stand for about 10 seconds at the most but then I grab onto something and sit down.

I love the cameras--cell phones, digital, and video. Anytime the cameras come out, I ham it up! Then I like to see the pictures and taste the cameras!

I wore this cute outfit today for my 8-month birthday. The shorts were really short on me so I fit right in at the mall for my girls lunch!

7 Months!

Hi Friends--I know, I know...it's been a while but I've been sooo busy! I had to spend as much time as possible with my Auntie before she left back for Seattle. I loved spending so much time with her and wish she was still here but I will just look forward to next time I get to see her.

I tried new foods in the last few weeks (butternut squash, blueberries, cantaloupe, and pineapple) and loved all of them! I also had my first puff snack and I like those too but I can't get them into my own mouth yet!

I went to the zoo for the first time last Sunday. It was so much fun. Mostly I just liked looking at all of the other people, but I also liked the monkeys that were running all around and the fish that I got to see up close.

I am standing all of the time now. I just stand, then sit, stand, then sit, then crawl. One of my favorite things to do is to crawl from the living room into my parent's bathroom and try to stand on the scale. I am obsessed with it and as of this morning, I weighed 16.8 pounds.

6 1/2 months :)

Hi friends!! 
I hope everyone's having a great week. It's been great here in San Antonio--80+ degrees and my first day going barefoot--even if it was to Mommy's work and she was mortified that it looked trashy! I still looked cute though. 
I've had a pretty good couple of weeks and more big milestones. I got my top left tooth on Saturday and my top right tooth on Wednesday so now I've got four teeth!!! 
Then, even better, I started lifting myself up onto my knees in my crib and then on Saturday and then on Thursday evening I stood up in my crib while holding onto the edge! Both times when Mommy and Daddy came in I had the biggest grin! I am so proud of myself!! 

So I also tried a couple new foods--peas and spinach--and I ate both with no problems but really loved the spinach. Mommy can barely stand to feed it to me because it looks so dark and gross but I don't care, it's yummy :)
I'm really excited that I get to meet my second cousin Nina tomorrow! She's only going to be here a short time, but I hope we get to play together. I'm sure I'll post pictures of us later.
As for now, I've got some old pictures I found on Daddy's phone--I love his phone!--that I want to share so hope y'all enjoy and I'll see you soon :)

6 months old!!

Hey everyone!

I hope it's been a great couple of weeks for y'all and everyone had fun playing in the snow. I didn't play--in fact, I didn't even see the snow because it was all melting by the time I woke up! So I finally go to wear my snowsuit that my Grandma Carol bought which made her very happy!

I went to my first Super Bowl party at my Grammy W and J's--it's famous. I wore my football outfit and looked like a boy until I put a big bow on! I had a blast checking everyone out and routing for my team--well my Super Bowl team at least--the Packers.

I'm officially a pro crawler now. I am fast and like to pull out the books, knock down the computer modem, and am trying to get the DVDs off the shelf! I do not sit still at all--there's just way too much to see and do! I also have a cute new skill. I'll crawl to my bottle, grab it and roll over to drink. I'm also trying to get myself into my swing. I crawl to it, put my head in the seat and stand up but somehow can't manage to actually get in the seat! I'll post a video of that later!

I am getting my top two teeth in now and my bottom teeth are about halfway out. I am chewing on everything--especially anybody's fingers that I can manage to get in my mouth!

I've been trying lots of new foods. I tried beets on my 6-month birthday. I took three bites and then wouldn't open my mouth on the fourth bite! I tried carrots which I don't really like but I will eat them. I also tried yellow squash and I really like that! Here's a picture of me with the beets all over my face--yuck!

I had my six-month pictures taken yesterday and had a family picture done. They all turned out great and I'll see about scanning some in later. I got a couple of Valentine's Day gifts from my Grandma Carol and Auntie Karlie. I got a talking bear that I took pictures with and a cute guitar onesie and skull and crossbone jacket that is adorable! I am also pleased to announce that my Auntie will be staying in town another month...which I'm hoping will turn into forever!!!!
