Halloween and Mommy's first week back at work

It's been such a busy, fast week. Mommy went back to work and she came home every day at lunch to feed me and then after work she came home and fed me before she kept working at night. I had such a good time with Daddy. We played and watched TV and he made the separation from my Mommy much easier.

We went to Mommy's company's annual Legends vs. Young Guns game Friday night and it was cold. Luckily I had the cutest pants and hoodie that everyone said were so cute and I stayed warm in everyone's arms! Mommy played on the Young Guns' team last year and they lost by a few points but this year, the Young Guns kicked the Legends' out of water. I only watched the first couple of innings before I started talking to everyone. I really liked talking and seeing all of the different people Mommy works with.

On Saturday Daddy, Mommy and I went downtown to a health expo, the Riverwalk and the Alamo. It was such a gorgeous day so Mommy carried me in the carrier out in front of her and I got to see everything. So many people said hi to me and I was such a good girl. I love looking at everything and not being in the stroller!

Today is Halloween so I got to put on my cow outfit and visit my cousins and grammies. My cousin Connor was a hobo, Chloe was Poison Ivy, and Cooper was The Riddler. They looked so awesome and I was very interested in staring at their costumes. I got to hand out candy to a couple of trick-or-treaters but there was an alien that came for candy at my grammies house and he scared me. I started crying and that was the end of my handing out candy!

I'm starting to laugh now and I drool all over the place. I love to see bright lights, especially the TV when I'm watching football and basketball with Daddy. I am a really good talker and love to talk to myself in the mirror. I turn three months old on Wednesday and I can't wait to see what else I am going to get to do and see this week!

Almost 12 weeks and the end of Mommy Day Care

So I said I'd try to update my blog each week and it looks like so far, so good. I haven't done a whole lot since I wrote last but I did get a bunch of new pictures from my Daddy's phone uploaded so I will share those. I had a wonderful weekend. I saw my Grammies and saw the new airport terminal--my Daddy loves that stuff and I did enjoy checking out all the colors on the art and chairs. It is a pretty terminal and I will get to see it again when my Auntie Karlie comes in for Christmas and maybe my Auntie Moo Moo too. I went to an art show today at La Cantera and looked at all of the pretty colors. My parents love that stuff and they were able to drag my Grammies along so my Grammy Wandie carried me in my Bjorn and I got to see everything. I also went to Yard House again. It's one of my favorite restaurants and I've been there with all of my Grammies and Aunts and Uncle. I had a great time. I needed to take a nap, but I couldn't stand to miss anything so I fell asleep promptly in the car!
As great as my weekend was, I'm sad that tomorrow my Mommy has to go back to work. I'm so excited to get to spend all day with my Daddy, but I know that means I have to have a bottle and I do not love the bottle! But, I do love my Daddy so I know we're going to have fun and Mommy will be bummed that she doesn't get to play with us. I'll make sure to act excited when she gets home from work each day so she feels like we missed her! :)
So the pictures from my Daddy's phone range from the day I was born to last week when we were at La Cantera and I was wearing my sunglasses--they stay on my face a lot better now that I keep growing!

11 weeks already!!

Hi everybody! I know I haven't posted any pictures lately, but I thought you'd be ok with all of the videos I  posted instead.  So I've been busy the last 5 weeks. I got to meet my aunties and my uncle from my Daddy's side. We had so much fun going to the Riverwalk and just hanging out. I got confused a lot when my uncle held me because he looks just like my Daddy but he has more hair on his face. I wish my aunties and uncle lived here so I could see them any time I wanted.
I've been to the doctor for my 2-month checkup where I got 5 shots in my thighs. I'm not much of a crier, but I sure did scream like I never have before during those shots, especially the 4th one that the doctor says all babies scream even more for. Mommy had to pin my arms down to the table and Daddy couldn't even watch. He's definitely a big softie :) I did get some cute, hot pink band-aids so at least I left looking stylish.
I went to get my Halloween pictures yesterday and I did much better than I did at my one-month birthday. I actually smiled a few times and didn't cry at all. I still wasn't very happy, but at least I wasn't all tears. I wish my Mommy would just give it up already, but according to Daddy, I better not hold my breath!
I've also been playing, eating, and sleeping a lot. I sleep for 11-12 hours every night and that makes my parents verrrrry happy! My favorite thing to do during the day is to play on my play mat. I love my friends that hang down from the mat. I smile at them and talk to them for hours. I don't love my swing too much any more but I did get a bouncy swing that hangs from the doorway that I'm sure I'll like once I fit in it better. Right now it just looks like I'm sitting in a huge diaper!
My Mommy goes back to work Monday and she is very, very sad. She gets to come home for lunch every day but she says that's not enough time to play with me. Luckily, I still get to be with my Daddy all day and he loves to play with me and make silly sounds.

Ok, so I'll see you all soon and will make it a goal to set one day each week to update my blog, maybe each Sunday morning when it's quiet in the house!

I love my Daddy! Aug. 16, 2010

It's Texas--I need sunglasses! Aug. 15, 2010

I got these sunglasses from one of the ladies Mommy works with. They don't quite fit yet, but we can't find any that do fit, and you need sunglasses in Texas--especially in the summer!

Hanging with my cousins - Aug. 15, 2010

Here's video of me at Grandma Fabian's spending time with my cousins, aunt, and uncle for my Aunt Kim's birthday. You can see that everyone pretty much just hangs out while Grandma cooks. I don't get to eat her cooking yet, but my cousin Cooper has been telling me how great her cooking is so I can't wait to try it!
