Getting better at walking!

Hi Friends,

I hope everyone had a great week! Mine was pretty good with the exception of Monday when Mommy got a call from my school because I had a fever. Luckily I already had a Dr appt scheduled because I was still coughing pretty badly and my nose was running pretty badly too. Turns out I got another double ear infection. One ear was not too bad but the other one was very bad my doctor said. So I got some nasty medicine that I don't like at all, unlike the Amoxicilin that I loved!! But I feel 100x better!

It's a long weekend this weekend so I get to spend extra time with my parents which is awesome. We went to the zoo today and I loved it! I loved the bears, elephants, fish, and hippos. I figure out more and more what the zoo is each time we go. Soon I'll be directing where we go when we get there!

I'm walking better and better and crawling less and less. In fact, today, I only crawled twice that my Mommy saw and only for a couple of feet then stood up to walk. I can now stand up from sitting and don't need something to grab onto. My teachers can't believe I'm already walking because most of my class mates are not even crawling yet but I've been crawling for more than 4 months already so I was due!

I got these cute new shoes from Old Navy and am trying to figure out how to walk in them. I'm not so good at walking in shoes yet!

I was pooped after the zoo so my parents left me sleeping in my car seat for a while--they're not winning any parents-of-the-year awards!!

You might notice that I'm a great sleeper...

Not really sure what is going on here...

This was my first try at a water fountain and I got it like a pro! This was a good way to help pass the time at the airport!

You want WHAT from me?! :)

In Missouri for my GGM Mary's funeral, I had my first bath in the bathtub without my special tub insert. I loved it and was moving all over the tub.

I had the best seat in the house on the flight to Vegas but I only slept for about 30 minutes of the 2 1/2 hour flight...then I wanted to be everywhere and talk to everyone!

I was helping unpack after we got home from Vegas :)

Walking!!!

Hi Friends!

Sorry I didn't post on Sunday. We were busy running errands and whatnot, you know, the daily grind... :)
I had a great week last week--I went to school the entire week and really love my teachers and friends already. Thursday night was extras special though. I've been taking a few steps here and there but Thursday night I truly walked...like for many feet!!! I was so excited and proud of myself! Truthfully, I had already walked at school for 10 feet or so but didn't want to tell my parents so they'd think they saw it first! Here's some of the video of me walking.

Other than that, there wasn't a whole lot going on, but I think walking is enough for one week!

Here are some pictures from the last week too.

First time being sick

Whew, it's been a nasty week! I started school on Monday and had such a great time. I love playing with all of my friends and I like my teachers a lot. I got a runny nose that started right before we left Vegas, nothing more, but Tuesday night I woke up shortly after going to be and I was burning up with my very first fever :( Then I was up off and on the whole night and scared my parents with the crying I was doing since I almost never cry. We went to the doctor the next morning and I had a severe double ear infection. So then I got my first antibiotic which has helped my ears a lot. But, I'm still congested with a runny nose and I am having a nasty-sounding cough too so I'm still not quite myself. I am really clingy and whiny now and my parents don't know what to do with that and they hope I'll get back to normal soon!

Here are some random leftover pictures from Vegas and a few other random things including my first bike ride today with my family. We're all feeling almost back to normal so we were able to go riding and it was a blast...except when my Mommy fell off her bike in the parking lot before the ride started!

Daddy took me to one of his customers and one of the ladies let me do business in her chair! She has the same 10-key as Mommy!

Here's a tiny toilet in the family bathroom at Wal-Mart. I didn't get what the big deal was but my parents thought it was hilarious! The picture doesn't do it justice because it's really only about a foot high total!

I was so pooped Tuesday at school that this is how Daddy found me when he picked me up!

9 months, first vacation, two plane rides...it's been a busy few weeks!

Hi Friends,

I've been quite busy the last few weeks as you can tell from my title. I don't have much time to blog because I started school today and I'm pooped! I have had such an eventful last month...mostly great but some sad.

I went to my GGM Mary's funeral in Missouri in April and it was my first plane ride. I went with my Mommy and Grammy J. The plane was so soothing and I fell asleep on both flights to MO but the flights home were a new game...I was up the whole time and wanted to talk to everyone! I did have a great time getting to know my cousins and aunts and uncles. I can't wait to go back and play some more!

This last week, I went to Vegas with my parents, Grammies, and Aunties for my parents' anniversary. They planned to leave me home when the first planned the trip but then they couldn't bear to leave me home for 5 whole days. I'm pretty much the best thing they've ever seen! We had such a fun time in Vegas. I sure wish my Aunties would move to SA...

In Vegas, I got in the pool for the very first time and I loved it. I especially loved when my Daddy took me into the wave pool and would crack up every time a wave would hit me!

Here are a bunch of pictures from our trip.

I can't wait to tell y'all more about school! I go a Spanish immersion school so the teachers speak in Spanish and I intend to be bilingual soon! I like my classmates and didn't have any problems adjusting my first day--it was as if I'd been going there my whole life!

I've taken several steps now but don't do it consistently and still prefer my speed crawling! My 7th and 8th teeth are on their way in and I'm drooling like a toothless person! I still only say Dada and Hi but I now wave to everyone and want all of them to hold me, but only for a minute and then I want my Mommy back! I know there's more to tell you, but I'm sleepy and will write more next week and tell you all about school!
